Ryan Static is a London-based visual artist working primarily in figurative painting. His practice explores lived experience, memory, vulnerability and the emotional weight of everyday stories.

Working instinctively from images and ideas that provoke an immediate emotional response, Static combines realistic depictions of the human figure with stripped back compositions that place psychological intensity at the centre of the work.

A recurring characteristic of Static's paintings is the isolation of figures against sparse or dark backgrounds. This creates a sense of psychological space in which memory, emotion and personal narrative can surface.

Static has exhibited in London since 2014, including presentations at Espacio Gallery, Ben Oakley Gallery, Dark Sugars, Holy Arts Gallery, Hartslane Gallery and Galleria Objets. He has also exhibited as part of Nu Tab Collective.

Static is currently represented by Galleria Objets.
